Every day, a new case to crack

Every morning a new victim is found somewhere: a country manor cut off by a storm, a sleeper train in the Alps, a theatre after opening night. Six people had a motive, and only one of them did it.

The evidence is hidden inside a puzzle. Our first case type is Murder Mystery Sudoku: solve a classic 9×9 grid, then read three marked cells to find the killer, the weapon and the room. Every puzzle is checked by computer before it is published, so there is always exactly one answer.

Cases start gentle on Monday and get harder through the week. Play in your browser on any device, or print a one-page case file and solve it with a pencil. More kinds of mystery puzzle are on the way.

  1. Read the case

    A short report names the victim, the scene and the time of death, with six suspects, six weapons and six locations.

  2. Solve the puzzle

    The evidence is locked inside the puzzle. Every case can be solved by logic alone, with no guessing.

  3. Name the killer

    Read the evidence and make your accusation. You get three tries before the case goes cold.
